“My entire paternal family is from Sinaloa; I was born in Mexico City and, unfortunately, I grew up here,” he joked. “We all grew up on the same piece of land where the families who came from Sinaloa lived, so ever since I was little, I grew up listening to tambora music and being around my uncles and cousins who would come and go. It feels like my roots, and I wanted to pay tribute to that.”
