"For me, the most important thing as a photographer and director is for the images we capture to feel unrepeatable, almost accidental—that excites me, and I actively seek it out. To achieve this, I try to let go of the idea that I am a cinematographer; instead, I focus on being present with people, interacting, and allowing the camera to almost automatically capture what’s happening. Of course, there is technical craftsmanship involved, but I like to think of it as a reaction to reality."
