"I came across an Instagram profile of a lady with very few followers who acted like an influencer. I felt she was a very lonely woman, looking for emotional validation on social media. It seemed like a sad case. Then I thought I’m in a similar situation; it’s just more evident when it’s an older woman. At the same time, I had Mónica Huarte on my radar for another film project. I thought she’d be perfect for this character. I asked her what she thought and told her I’d only write it if she was willing to play the lead. Moni liked the idea, and here we are."
